Twitter is “TIME” well spent, not money well spent.
Twitter is “TIME” well spent, not money well spent. That concept is ironic in the business arena, because for many years, in order for companies to see positive results, they would first have to open their wallets. Nowadays, Companies are utilizing Twitter…which is free service…but it does cost companies one thing, and that is their “Time.” Companies are using twitter for so many things, ranging from market research to delivering customer support, all……for free! But because of all the hype, there are many companies who seem to think that by positing a couple tweets a week that they will be able to achieve instant success.
Many in business bring up the fact that Dell has earned $2 million from their activities on twitter and other social networking sites…in a short amount of time. What most of these businesses do not realize is that before Dell earned their millions, they had already been using Twitter to offer online exclusive promos for close to 2 years.
Moral of the story: Yes, Twitter is a free service, which means little to zero $$’s invested, but there is a heavy TIME investment. If you put in A LOT of time, tears and sweat…..then most likely, positive results will follow.
